What is evidence-based leadership?

Evidence-based leadership refers to two different concepts:

  1. Using data and evidence to base the practice of leadership on from a variety of sources including:
    1. Research evidence from studies, experiments etc.
    2. The leaders’ experience
    3. Feedback, data and evidence from other sources like:
      1. The leaders’ followers
      2. Organisational performance
      3. Stakeholders / shareholders etc. 
    4. Clients/customers
  2. Leading and being responsible for the implantation, running and maintenance of evidence-based practice within an organisation.
